sketching out the life story of an insignificant guy in an award winning book
i gather this is what a God must feel like
unassuming features, standard dialogue, an all around average person
there’s no time to waste on every character
you’re part of the plot, just a passerby
important to the tale but not important enough to think too much about
forgotten and cast aside, you hide in alleys and see scenes unfold
one after the other, every day
for the rest of your life as another toy in the grand scheme of things
alive but not really, no name was ever given
you’re you — just another average joe, maybe a plain jane
the pages flip, crawling towards The End
until a critic comes by and returns to chapter one again
