About Me
If you're looking for a compelling story about who I am, you've come to the right place. I'm Nicole Fang, cats enthusiast, fiction writer, and an advocate of living life with no regrets. While working to stay true to my advocacy, I've camped outside toilets for interviews, dyed my hair a myriad of hot colours and taken part in the 24hr Crowbar Advertising Challenge where my team and I emerged victorious.
My interest in languages has also compelled me to learn Korean, a passion kept fuelled by my love for the Hallyu wave. A jack of all trades, I'm also published in the anthology Anima Methodi and have dabbled in photography and design.
Work Experience
Oct, 20 - Jan, 21; Mar, 21 - Apr, 21
My first job out of university found me freelancing at Hogarth Worldwide under the FairPrice account. On a day to day basis, I would write copy for their 7 retail formats: Super, Finest, Xtra, FairPrice Online, Warehouse Club, Unity & Cheers. In preparation for seasonal holidays, I was also involved in writing for catalogues and weekly digital collaterals like eDMs, social media posts and banners for different platforms. Though work was hectic, I learnt what it meant to be an efficient and speedy writer.
Nov, 19 - Feb, 20
Restless and eager to do something during the school holidays, I returned to Hakuhodo Singapore to intern as a Copywriter once more. This time, I had the opportunity to work with Kao Corporations and was involved in creating advertisements/social media posts for a number of their brands. They include, but are not limited to, brands like Attack, Biore and Magiclean. Having earned the trust of my colleagues, I was also tasked to present to our clients on a few occasions.
Mar, 18 - May, 18
Winning the Crowbar 24hr Advertising Challenge in 2017 landed me the opportunity of a lifetime to intern as a Copywriter in the Singapore branch of Hakuhodo Inc. Whilst there, I had the privilege of conceptualising ideas and writing copy for pitches with the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) and Finally.sg. In between big projects, I wrote copy for Sofina's website, and Wacom SEA's and CarClub's social media which extended to suggesting content for new posts and scheduling posts for uploading.

As part of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's curriculum, I interned as the Editor of npTribune and Deputy Editor of HYPE magazine at m:idea. During my stint as editor, I had the opportunity to edit the articles meant for publication, be involved in the design and layout of the magazine and handled every aspect of my publication from its social media to administrative matters.
